🚀 Young Talents for Innovative Industries 2025 — Recap

We were truly impressed by the 24 participants of the « Young Talents for Innovative Industries 2025 » workshop hosted by Leister and Axetris in Kägiswil last week, on Sept. 3rd to 4th.

What an inspiring two-day workshop at Leister and Axetris in Kägiswil, made possible thanks to the generous support of Swissmem and in partnership with Photonics Booster. Over two intense days, the youngs worked on real company challenges, learned the fundamentals of design thinking, and turned insights into concrete ideas, all while discovering the power (and fun!) of diverse teamwork.

What happened

  • Hands-on teamwork on challenges from Leister and Axetris; site visits and expert exchanges.

  • Focus one day on problem framing and one day on ideation, with rapid iterations and coached checkpoints. Some of the tools we used:

    • Brainstorming
    • Problem Tree Approach
    • Jobs-to-be-done
    • How might we questions
    • Crazy 8
    • Rate Grid
  • Final pitches to a jury — with a CHF 2’000 award for the most radical idea.

Why it mattered

The group impressed us with their motivation, focus, and collaborative spirit. Hats off to Gen Z — so focused, so reliable, and yes… with great bowling skills too 😉.
