Denstply will open its doors on 27.08.2026 for a half-day expert and networking event, bringing together key industrial players, technology providers and innovation stakeholders.

Taking place from 13:45 to 18:00, this afternoon will focus on creating long-term value for capital goods, with concrete insights from Go-Circular, HEIG-VD, Ventura Mecanics, Fanuc and Dentsply, through expert talks, a roundtable discussion, a guided visit of Dentsply’s facilities, and a networking aperitif.

Presentation of the speakers

Kamran Houshang Pour is a patent expert and senior IP trainer at in Bern. After completing a PhD in physics at EPFL, he gained experience in industry as a product manager at Nortel Networks in Zurich. He also co-founded a consulting company supporting young start-ups and later returned to academia and research after a Master’s in statistics. Since 2008, he has specialized in patent searches, patent examination, and IP training for universities and companies.

Christophe Saam is the CEO and founder of P&TS, an intellectual property firm established in 1998 in Neuchâtel and Zurich. An EPFL electrical engineer, European and Swiss Patent Attorney, Qualified Patent Information Professional and Technical Judge at the Swiss Federal Patent Court, he has strong expertise in technology patents, especially in IT and microtechnology.

Christophe is also an IP expert for the Innosuisse start-up programme and is regularly invited to lecture on IP and innovation law. Passionate about technology transfer and collaborative innovation, he actively contributes to CoBooster as a committee member.

Sandra Von Kaenel is a micromechanical engineer and founder of  GoCircular, a consulting company dedicated to circular economy and sustainability. With extensive experience in international industrial project management, she has worked in manufacturing environments, supporting the development, optimization, and lifecycle management of industrial assets and production systems.

Holding a CAS in Supply Chain Management and a CAS in Ecological Transition, Sandra is also a certified Circular Economy Specialist from the Circular Economy Alliance. She specializes in circular business models, sustainable value chains, eco-design, and resource efficiency, helping organizations integrate circular economy principles into their strategies and operations.

Siddartha Berns is an R&D engineer at Comatec (HEIG-VD), specialized in additive manufacturing and reverse engineering. After a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at EPFL, he gained early experience at the EPFL Acoustic Laboratory (LEMA) and in high-end watchmaking at De Bethune Manufacture.

Over the past eight years at AddiPole (HEIG-VD), he has developed strong expertise in 3D printing and 3D scanning, contributing to numerous applied research and industrial collaborations. In parallel, he is involved in teaching, supervising students in practical work related to design optimisation for AM. Recently, Siddartha launched the ReLab project, which focuses on the repair and reuse of components and equipment, promoting more sustainable and circular engineering practices.
After working for the audit firms Deloitte and PwC, Fabio Ventura, took over the family business with his brother Luca Ventura. At Ventura Mecanics SA, he is responsible for Innovation and, more specifically, for projects involving universities, technical schools and research institutes. They have been running the company, which specialises in the overhaul, retrofitting and manufacture of spindles and turning machines, for over 25 years now.

Cyril Amez has been responsible for Business Development at Fanuc Switzerland since 2018. Previously, he worked in various industrial companies in the Jura region as an international project manager.

At FANUC, he relies on a team of application and service engineers, as well as reliable products, to share his industrial experience with customers and foster collaborations with universities.

François Aeby, Advanced Technologies Director at Dentsply Sirona, where he drives international business development through the identification and implementation of innovative technologies and automation solutions. As a mechanical engineer from ETH Zurich with an MBA from the University of Lausanne, he has more than 35 years of experience in industrial innovation, engineering, operations and manufacturing. Throughout his career at Dentsply Sirona, Maillefer Instruments, Portescap and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), he has led the development of new products, production technologies and industrial processes, while managing multidisciplinary teams in technology, operations and supply chain.

Parking spaces will be reserved for you in the car park on the right as you arrive. You will be welcomed at the reception desk, where we will provide you with a Personal Protective Equipment, to be kept with you and put on just before the visit. A signposted route will then guide you to the room where the General Assembly and presentations will take place.
