Team Rules
(only relevant for eligible participants in the feasibility study)
STATEMENT OF WORK – PROJECT FOLLOW-UP
What are the targets of your project as a team? How and by which means do you reach them? This document is meant to establish these aspects.
This document will also help you with the follow-up of your project (accountability, reporting,..). It has to be saved in your dataroom and always accessible to the Operator and Team Members.
Option 1: multiparty NDA
Do you want to work with a multiparty NDA ? Here is an example.
Option 2: easy templates for an open-source R&D contract
Your idea has been selected for the feasibility study? Your team members must agree on how to work together :
Governance & responsibilities, scope of work, resource pooling, information sharing & confidentiality, intellectual property, etc. There are many aspects to consider to reach a joint agreement.
You can ask us templated contractual documents, that are compliant with the Programme Rules or feel free to make your own contract(s), provided that you comply with the minimal requirements of the Programme Rules, notably the Terms of Service.
Please write to joelle.tosetti@cobooster.ch to ask for the documents.
Option 3: templates to create an R&D pop-up association
There are several ways to organise multilateral cooperation and governance. In this case we suggest an original approach, using a pop-up association as a vehicle; it is less responsibility for the individual members and favours continuity. Should you, however, prefer a Consortium Agreement (simple partnership), please refer to option 1 above.
Confidential information will be shared, intellectual property will be used or created: this approach is meant to set the rules for these aspects, in the feasibility and beyond.
You would like to receive the templates and have a look at this innovative collaboration concept ? You are welcome to ask joelle.tosetti@cobooster.ch
Option 4: Looking for support in collaborative intellectual property?
Would you like expert advice, training, or help protecting an invention? Here are two possibilities:
P&TS can help you protect your invention and guide you in your IP approach.
The IPI (Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property) offers courses, advice, and support on intellectual property matters.
IP Academy (Flyer)
IP Academy : In the IP Academy, innovators and creative professionals acquire the knowledge they need to skilfully manage their valuable intellectual property (IP). This modular information and training offering is designed for beginners, start-ups, SMEs and private individuals as well as universities and IP specialists. You can find information on all planned courses and workshops in the training schedule and book them directly. Find the right course for you by restricting the options shown using the filters available.
IP Info :In a free discussion of up to 30 minutes with an IP expert from your technical field, you can ask initial questions about protecting your intellectual property (patents, trade marks, designs or copyright). We’ll also be happy to inform you of your options for gaining specific IP knowledge with our wide range of information services.
IP Info PLUS: Ask an expert to show you how you can conduct a search yourself to see how your invention fits into the state of the art.
The IP Advisory Network: Patent attorneys from Switzerland and Liechtenstein who participate in our network, advise small and medium-sized enterprises as well as individuals free of charge for up to 45 minutes on issues concerning patent protection and the software copyright protection. During this initial consultation, you can clarify your most pressing questions, find out how to proceed further and whether a further consultation would be useful. In this case, the patent attorney will be happy to tell you the additional costs.

Checklist IP strategy: Good ideas can be worth pure gold, which is why successful products are often copied. It is therefore all the more important to integrate how you handle your intellectual property into your company’s strategy.
Checklist licensing agreement: Turn your protected intellectual property into money. With a licensing agreement, you can allow third parties to use your trade marks, patents, designs and copyrights. As the licensor, you retain the rights to your intellectual property and receive royalties in return.

SME portal: More often than not, entrepreneurs call us when it’s too late – because they’ve received a warning from a competitor due to patent-infringing products. Or they find that their company name has been registered as a trade mark by a competitor. What a shame that they didn’t find out more information sooner. Because such things can be avoided.
